The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and womens care.

The role you'll contribute:

The Nurse Manager Same Day Surgery (pre-post surgery, PACU, Endoscopy) is a specialized health care professional who collaborates with the Nursing Director and other leaders to provide leadership to the operating room department at AdventHealth Riverview. The Nurse manager is directly responsible to the Director of Surgical Services and is responsible for the continual operation of the pre-post surgery units (Same Day, PACU), Endoscopy unit, and other surgical services areas as needed. The Nurse Manager will focus on daily operations of the departments including but not limited to departmental staffing, scheduling, human resources functions, and patient care activities. Advocates and allocates resources to promote efficient, effective, safe, quality and compassionate nursing care based on current standards of practice. Integrates clinical, human resource, and financial data to support decision making. Ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Demonstrates leadership through conflict resolution and service recovery with patients, families, physicians, and staff. Removes barriers to effectively implement strategic plan to achieve vision. Maintains clinical competency in order to provide patient care as appropriate. Ensures regulatory compliance.

The value you'll bring to the team:

Ensures staff competency and maintains current documentation related to professional practice for performance evaluations.

Establishes staffing patterns based on volume, competency levels, and utilization.

Reviews staff payroll and labor distribution to ensure accurate recording of time and labor.

Manages daily operations, staffing, and patient flow in the Pre-post surgical areas, including endoscopy, with twenty-four-hour accountability.

Oversees and coordinates supply management in collaboration with materials management, anesthesia, and sterile processing.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Associate's of Nursing Required
• Bachelor's of Nursing Required
• 0 Work Experience Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) Current valid State of Florida or multistate license Required
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or RQI upon hire.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification or RQI upon hire
